Since starting as a junior in 1987, I’ve been a copywriter for 30 years.

I’ve written in just about every medium – from press ads, posters, and flyers, to TV ads, mail-packs, and websites.

And I’ve written for a diverse range of brands – from cough syrup, cars, and whisky, to diamonds, holidays, and high street banks.

Lots of words, lots of brands, and lots of experience.

1998 – 2009: Copywriter and Creative Group Head Proximity London

I won Best Copy at Campaign Direct for Whiskas, created VW’s most successful DM campaign, and spent a year making 60 animated TV idents for Harvey’s sponsorship of Coronation Street.

1987 – 1997: Copywriter and Associate Director J. Walter Thompson London

I started as a junior writer, fresh out of art college. I then went on to make countless TV and radio commercials, press ads and posters, for the likes of Kellogg’s, Andrex, Rowntrees and Kraft. I also spent time working at JWT Chicago, Melbourne, Lisbon and Taipei. Then, after 10 years, I left with a bulging portfolio and a wealth of experience. I could not have wished for a more enjoyable and enlightening education.
